Scenic Painting:Community Theater

Charlotte's Web for R.I.S.E. in Woonsocket, RI

12in X 12in Moon surface texture. Due to a lack of actual SCENIC grade materials, this is plaster bonded with tacky glue and mixed with Dill Seed. Applied with palette knife and smoothed ridges with a brush. After dry, painted with a few layers of watercolor mixed into gesso. Then sealed with Matte Medium. 

12in X 12in brick texture. Plaster bonded with tacky glue applied to a grid of painter's tape with a putty knife.  Pulled up the tape after a 30 second set time.  After completely dried painted with a few layers of watercolor paint mixed into peach toned latex paint.  It is a low budget brick work re-creation from work I was part of at the Huntington Theater in Boston.
